Reporting Dashboard Video Transcript

This is a transcript of the video on the Educator Features page and Student Features page.

Hi. I’m here to talk to you about Reporting Dashboard, an exciting feature you'll find in Pearson’s MyLab products. Reporting Dashboard allows you to view, analyze, and report learning outcomes clearly and easily, and get the information you need to keep your students on track throughout the course.

Available via the Gradebook in specific MyLabs, Reporting Dashboard is designed to support student mastery and application of the skills they’ll need to be successful in their course work and future careers.

Let’s take a closer look.

With Reporting Dashboard, instructors can access and analyze students' assignment and activity results, for all of their active courses.

Using a drop-down menu, they can choose the kind of report they'd like to generate.

Instructors can quickly and easily track students' Overall Score, which displays the classes' average score and score distribution. They can also determine…

...Correlation of Average Scores and Time Spent, which displays the weighted average score and amount of time students spend working on assignments. This data can be viewed at the individual or assignment level.

...and Score distribution, which displays the weighted average score and a distribution of the results across all of the assignments included in the report.

Professors can also use a filter or multiple filters to refine the data shown in the report they've selected.

In addition to accessing overall course data, instructors can also view individual student progress. By opening the Student Result Detail page from any report, instructors are able to instantly see overall progress for each individual student.

Furthermore, from this view they can respond quickly, choosing which students to email directly to offer support or encouragement based on their performance.

And there you have it. That was a quick look at just a handful of the valuable features within Reporting Dashboard. If you want to learn more about all of Pearson's MyLab products, check out Pearsonmylabandmastering.com. Thanks for watching.
